Although trains continued to run until 1974, our village railway station was closed in 1952 and has been converted into a large and attractive detached eight bedroom property and summerhouse. Surrounded on all sides by beautiful and mature gardens with lot’s of space for ball games etc. It has a large freeform swimming pool, adjacent paddling pool and a large fenced, shaded children’s playground with slide, swings, seesaw and castle with wobbly bridge etc. There are a number of large outdoor games including chess.

The huge indoor games room (80m2) has a  3/4 size snooker table, table football, table tennis and other play equipment, seating for 8, TV and DVD.

The house is on three floors totaling 300m2, at the front is a huge shaded terrace with stone tables and benches  that seat 12 + enclosed by balustrades. French windows connect to the kitchen and living room.

The kitchen is well equipped, this includes gas/electric combination hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge and fridge freezer. The large dining table seats 8 to 10 and a second smaller table seats an extra 4.

The living room (50m2) has a comfortable sitting area with a Leather suite that seats 9+, satellite television and DVD, telephone, CD player and a  large selection of paperback books and DVDs.

Doors leads to the downstairs WC and 400 bottle wine cellar,  one double bedroom and the games room.  French windows lead to  terraces with sun and shade in abundance and enough garden tables and chairs to seat everyone and a traditional brick BBQ.

From here you access the utility/shower room which is equipped with a washing machine and drying facilities.

First Floor accommodation consists of four bedrooms and luxury bathroom with shower cubicle. Bedrooms on the first floor are: One four poster King; Two twins; One double.

On the top floor are two king bedrooms a treble bedroom (three singles) and bathroom with shower. A ‘floating’ bed can go in any of the above rooms if necessary. Cots, high chairs, push chairs, and a baby walker  are also available on request.  The stairs have stair gates/doors on both flights.

Outside, the large gardens are mainly lawns with mature shrubs and trees, there is ample space for virtually any ball game and a gravel drive that doubles as an excellent boule pitch. Just 200m away along the bed of  the old railway line is a football pitch and netball court.
